The Office of Advanced Carer Education supports Federal Perkins accountability measures, such as technical assessments, for CTE state-approved programs. The office oversees CTE programs’ implementation of the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) technical assessment as well as the CTE Portfolio.
NOCTI provides credentials for Career and Technical Education Centers that are aligned with industry standards and created by industry experts in conjunction with educators across the country. Student recognition opportunities include the Workforce Competency Credential and college credit recommendations.
Student portfolios are a collection of personal documents, which showcase an individual’s learning experiences, goals and achievements. Student portfolios are created and controlled by the student, facilitated by the instructor, and evaluated by outside entities.
