Calhoun Gilmer Career Center, Star Gazing Cabin: Calhoun County is one of the top destinations in the country for astronomers to star gaze. Students constructed a cabin for Calhoun County Parks to accommodate astronomers who visit the park for the “Dark Skies” experience. The cabin also provides additional lodging options, serving as a rental for out of town visitors attending local festivals and other community functions in the county.
