K-12 Exercise Starter Kits (ESKs) – The Department of Homeland Security has recently designed K-12 Exercise Starter Kits (ESKs) specifically for the academic community. ESKs are self-conducted tabletop exercises and include a set of scalable tools aimed to test the existing emergency plans, protocols, and procedures, while also strengthening preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities. The K-12 ESKs focus on an active shooter incident and are broken into three K-12 school levels: Elementary School, Middle/Junior High School, and High School. To request an ESK, please select the following link, https://www.surveymonkey/r/k12esk. Please contact WV Fusion Center 304-558-4831, if you are interested in its support regarding tabletop exercises.
