Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework or approach for assisting school personnel in adopting and organizing evidence-based behavioral interventions into an integrated continuum that enhances academic and social behavior outcomes for all students. Research states, when schools implement PBIS with fidelity their programs will see a decrease in disciplinary problem behavior, an increase in positive school climate, improved organizational health, decreased student bullying, and increased academic achievement.

Early Childhood Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (ECPBIS) is an evidence-based practice framework that seeks to promote social and emotional development through the use of a tiered model to offer a hierarchy of prevention behavior through environmental arrangement, effective teaching, program structure, and individualized interventions for children who engage in more serious forms of challenging behavior.
