Use this form in place of Form 1 for Autism if you hold a Special Education endorsement and are taking six (6) hours of coursework at a college or university that does not offer a full Autism endorsement program.
This application is valid for one (1) year. To apply, you must:
Have the recommendation of county Superintendent
Be at least 18 years old
Possess an endorsement in Special Education
Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Be enrolled in six (6) hours of coursework in Autism at an accredited college or university that offers the coursework as outlined in Policy 5202
Be employed in a county where the vacancy must have been posted with no certified individuals submitting application and an offer of employment made
Please have your college or university email official transcripts to our office (cert.transcripts.wvde@k12.wv.us). Transcripts must be received from the college or university, and not the applicant.
