Restricted Pre-Professional Permit may be granted only one time to an individual who has been continuously employed for a specific assignment under a First-Class/Full-Time Permit and who has completed all course requirements of the approved program but has not completed the required Praxis content exams.
Receive an offer of employment for a position in the West Virginia county public schools where no certified candidate has applied
Have recommendation from the county Superintendent
Education Level
To apply, you must:
Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (regionally accredited college or university)
Have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
Have completed all course requirements of the approved program, but have not completed the required Praxis content exams
Have held a First-Class/Full-Time Permit during the previous school year
