You can request state tuition reimbursement if you:
Are on a continuing contract, hold a Professional Certificate that must be renewed, and hold a salary classification of master's degree + 15 or less
Have completed coursework in a county-verified shortage area
Note: There is a 15 semester hours reimbursement lifetime maximum.
Form 36 applications are accepted July 1 through June 15 of each fiscal year. They are processed on a first come, first served basis until the designated funds for that fiscal year are expended. All coursework must be completed within the same fiscal year in which we receive your request for reimbursement.
Be employed by a West Virginia public school system
Hold a professional teaching, student support, or administrative certificate or first class permit
Have a minimum 3.0 GPA is for coursework
Be seeking an additional endorsement in a shortage area, if applying under Option Two (2)
