Use Form 36 to request tuition reimbursement for completed coursework in a county verified shortage area.
You can request tuition reimbursement if you are currently employed in a West Virginia public school and have completed coursework in a county-verified shortage area during the current fiscal year, while:
Holding a Professional Certificate, or
Holding a Professional Certificate and a First-Class Permit, and pursuing an additional endorsement in a county-verified shortage area
Please note: The Form 36 tuition reimbursement is only eligible for a maximum of 15 semester hours.
Form 36 applications are accepted July 1 through June 15 of each fiscal year. They are processed in order of receipt until the designated funds for that fiscal year are expended.
Be employed by a West Virginia public school system
Hold a professional teaching, student support, or administrative certificate or first class permit
Have a grade of "B" or better in order for a course to be reimbursed
