Have completed a college or university’s state-approved Career and Technical Education teacher preparation program with a minimum 2.5 GPA or hold a valid West Virginia Professional Teaching Certificate
Have official recommendation from the county superintendent, the Educational Service Cooperative, Multi-County Vocational Center Director, or the West Virginia Schools of Diversion and Transition superintendent
Renewal
The renewed permit is valid for five (5) years. to apply, you must:
Have a 3.0 GPA for all semester hour coursework submitted for renewal
To renew, you must have one of the following:
Complete qualifying coursework (six (6) semester hours/Department E-Learning)
Hold an earned master’s degree with a Master’s +30 advanced salary classification
Be at least 60 years old or older is required for renewal.
Have official recommendation from the county superintendent, the Educational Service Cooperative, Multi-County Vocational Center Director, or the West Virginia Schools of Diversion and Transition superintendent
