CTE Students Earn Scholarships to Support Career and Training Goals

Charleston, W.Va. - The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) is pleased to announce the 2025 Albert Yanni Scholarship recipients. This year, 30 career technical education (CTE) students earned the $2,000 award to assist with their education and/or training related to their career aspirations. 

The scholarship is open to Mountain State high school seniors who pursue professional certification programs while maintaining strong academic and attendance standards.

“On behalf of the West Virginia Board of Education and the West Virginia Department of Education, I commend the 2025 class of Albert Yanni Scholarship recipients for their achievements,” said State Superintendent of Schools Michele L. Blatt. “They have performed exceptionally in the classroom and their certification programs. Their hard work will serve them well as they advance through their fields of study and certifications.”
