L&S Toyota, Wing 2 Wing Foundation, and Pack Family Foundation Donate Over $1,000,000 for WV Students

Charleston, W.Va. – Philanthropists Shawn and Angela Ball welcome Brad and Alys Smith's Wing 2 Wing Foundation and Larry and Lisa Pack's Pack Family Foundation as they visit communities across West Virginia during the annual Keep the Ball Rolling tour. The event celebrates a million-dollar investment in support of West Virginia students. In partnership with United Way of Central West Virginia and Communities In Schools, the Ball family launched the initiative in 2021 to help meet the basic needs of vulnerable children. This year's tour is October 5-8, 2026.

Shawn Ball, owner of L&S Toyota, founded the annual tour of giving and remains committed to expanding its impact by bringing in additional partners. Reflecting on his upbringing in Boone County, he was motivated to help families overcome hardships by removing barriers to essential resources for children. The $1 million donation provides each public school in West Virginia with $1,500 for essential items such as food, clothing, shoes, coats and hygiene products.

In addition to the donors, educators, students, families and community partners will attend the events to share stories about the impact this program and Communities In Schools are having on their lives and their communities.
