Use Form 24C to apply for a restricted permit to participate in a clinical experience within the West Virginia public school system. This permit is issued to individuals who do not meet all the requirements for the Clinical Experience Permit and have not passed Praxis content exams. This permit must be issued before you participate in the clinical experience for the identified validity period.
The Restricted Clinical Experience Permit is valid for one (1) year. The permit includes clinical experiences for teachers, administrators and student support personnel.
Be physically, mentally, and emotionally qualified
Have recommendation from the county Superintendent and designated college or university official
Be enrolled in good standing in a regionally accredited, in-state or out-of-state program which leads to licensure as a teacher, administrator or student support personnel
Have completed all program requirements, including all required tests, if applicable (Praxis or state-specific), before participating in and/or completing the clinical experience.
Individuals enrolled in state approved programs must have passing scores on all West Virginia Board of Education required basic skills
Praxis II Content exam(s) must have been attempted and failed at least two times.
On the Elementary Education Praxis II, one subtest must have been attempted and failed at least two times.

Pay the application fee online before submitting your application.
