Advanced Credentials

General Requirements

To apply, you must

• Be a U.S. citizen or hold eligible documentation (see Policy 5202, Minimum Requirements for the Licensure of Professional/Paraprofessional Personnel and Advanced Salary Classifications, for complete requirements)
• Be employed in the West Virginia public school system
• Be at least 18 years old
• Be physically, mentally, emotionally qualified and of good character
• Hold a valid West Virginia professional certificate
• Have recommendation from the county Superintendent

Requirements vary depending on the specific credential you are seeking. Advanced Credentials are outlined within the Form 30 application. For a full list of requirements, please review Policy 5202.
