Advanced Credentials are awarded to educators for completing professional development, coursework, and/or testing which exceeds the requirements of a professional certificate.
Be a US Citizen or hold eligible documentation (see Policy 5202)
Be at least 18 years old
Be physically, mentally, emotionally qualified and of good character
Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.5
Hold a valid West Virginia professional certificate
Be an employee of the West Virginia public school system
Have recommendation from the county superintendent
