The Office of Government Relations & Legal Services advises the state superintendent of schools and State Board of Education on legal matters, education policies, and legislative actions. The office is also responsible for human resources and accountability measures.  

Office responsibilities also include:

  • Superintendent’s interpretations
  • Conducting administrative hearings
  • Level III citizens’ appeals
  • Investigation of allegations of misconduct
  • Licensure denials/revocations.
