The West Virginia Department of Education is proud to announce the math4life Virtual Summit scheduled for July 21 to 23, 2020. Participants have choices among concurrently offered sessions. All sessions are offered through the Microsoft Teams platform.

This summit is designed for classroom teachers, academic coaches, intervention specialists, and administrators.

The math4life Virtual Summit focuses on best practices and resources for remote mathematics teaching, learning, and leadership.

Sessions run from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. each day. Conference schedule can be found below.

The keynote address features Dr. Mary Pittman from TNTP, formerly known as The New Teacher Project. Dr. Pittman’s presentation addresses Learning Acceleration publication from April 2020, and other resources from TNTP. The Learning Acceleration Guide and the companion pieces were released “to help school systems develop and execute a strategy for accelerating—rather than remediating—student learning.”
