Salary Supplement for ASHA, NMCC, WVBEC, NASP, & NBCSN
Summary of Requirements
Use Form 43 if you work within the West Virginia public school system and have both a professional student support certificate and the required national certification to request an annual salary supplement of $2,500.
This form can only be submitted between January 1 and September 15 each year. Applications will not be processed until after September 15.
Hold a professional student support certificate and a valid certification from one of the following:
The American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
The National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC)
The West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling (WVBEC)
The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
The National Board for Certification of School Nurses
Be employed in the West Virginia public school system.
Have recommendation from the county Superintendent.
The salary supplement is $2,500. The number of support staff eligible for the supplement is limited by legislative funding. Recipients are determined based on seniority. This form can only be submitted between January 1 and September 15 each year. Applications will not be processed until after September 15.
