Career and Technical Education Permanent Advanced Credential
Summary of Requirements
Permanent Advanced Credentials may be issued to individuals with a Professional Teaching Certificate or a Career and Technical Education Certificate, teaching career and technical education content areas identified in WVBE Policy 5202 and the Career and Technical Education Endorsements and Testing Manual on the WVDE website.
This credential will never expire once obtained. To apply, you must:
Be a U.S. citizen or hold eligible documentation (see Policy 5202)
Have good character
Be at least 18 years old
Be physically, mentally, and emotionally qualified
Be employed within the West Virginia public school system
Receive the recommendation of the employing county superintendent, Educational Service Cooperative, Multi-County Vocational Center Director, West Virginia Schools of Diversion and Transition superintendent or designated official within the Division of Career and Technical Education & Governor’s Economic Initiatives
