Career and Technical Education Certificate (Out of State)

General Requirements

This certificate is valid for five (5) years. To apply, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen or hold eligible documentation (see Policy 5202)
• Have good character
• Be at least 18 years old
• Be physically, mentally, and emotionally qualified
• Have a minimum of a high school diploma or college/university degree as identified within the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Endorsements and Testing Manual
• Hold three (3) years of successful out-of-state experience as an educator in the requested specialization(s) within the seven (7)-year period preceding the date of application
• Hold a valid out-of-state Career and Technical Education Certificate and industry-recognized credential(s) as identified in the CTE Endorsements and Testing Manual (if applicable)
• Have passing scores on the required NOCTI exam(s) as identified within the CTE Endorsements and Testing Manual (if applicable)
