Authorizations

Authorizations are issued to individuals hired or assigned to positions within the West Virginia public school system that don't require a certification, including:

• Individuals with a specialization that doesn't require a professional or career and technical education certificate
• Coaches
• Athletic trainers
• Early childhood classroom assistant teacher (ECCAT)
• Community programs lead teachers

Candidate Requirements

General Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or hold eligible documentation

• Must be employed within the West Virginia public school system
