Victor L. Gabriel earned a bachelor of science degree from Fairmont State University and a master of arts from West Virginia University. He taught in elementary and middle schools and was assigned to the administrative staff, where he served in various positions with the Harrison County Board of Education. He retired with 44 years of service.
Following retirement, Mr. Gabriel was employed at RESA VII and the West Virginia Department of Education. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Harrison County YMCA. Mr. Gabriel served two terms as president of the West Virginia Association of Pupil Transportation.
In 2010, he was appointed to the School Building Authority of West Virginia and served until his resignation in 2022. Mr. Gabriel was also a West Virginia Association of School Administrators member.
Mr. Gabriel resides in Bridgeport with his wife Linda, and they have two children, Dr. Jaclyn Gabriel and Victor A. Gabriel, and two grandsons, Gian and Vance Lockman who attend Bridgeport schools.
