Autism is a neurodevelopmental disability, generally evident before age three, affecting social communication and social interaction in the presence of restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities that adversely affect educational performance. Autism is a spectrum disorder which means the areas of social communication, social interaction, and restrictive, repetitive behavior vary in severity among individuals with autism.

Autism Q&A Survey

Every month, two questions from general education students across the state will be shared on our Facebook page about autism. The purpose of this survey is to continue the efforts made during the month of April to increase autism awareness. Featured questions will be answered by special education professionals and the students who asked them will be recognized in the social media post.
