McKinney-Vento Liaisons
The McKinney-Vento liaison plays a crucial role in supporting students experiencing homelessness by ensuring they are identified and enrolled in school without delay. They help students access essential services such as transportation, food, and healthcare, and work to remove barriers to education, ensuring academic success.
Liaisons receive specialized training to understand the McKinney-Vento Act and best practices for supporting homeless students. Additionally, they assist families in accessing resources and services that promote stability and well-being, creating a supportive and stable environment for students to focus on their education and future success.
