Policies and Laws

The WV State Board of Education promulgates rules also known as policies as allowable by W.Va. Code §18-2-5a. A comprehensive system has been adopted by the state board of education to maintain, publish, and distribute all policies and to ensure that all applicable laws, regulations and policies are fully observed. An employee of the state department of education is responsible for the implementation of the system. Many of these policies exist as a requirement of current W.Va. education and public health laws.
