The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) will host more than 700 educators for the southern region during the 2024 Infuse, Network, Value, Engage, Support,
Target (INVEST) Conference and the West Virginia Math INVEST Conference in Charleston.
INVEST provides educators with workshops focusing on rich engagement, networking strategies and effective instructional practice. Experts will deliver unique learning sessions and the WVDE will offer updates on various initiatives, state codes and West Virginia Board of Education policies.
Additionally, math teachers will convene at Capital High School to learn about the new mathematics standards that go into effect this upcoming school year. Special sessions are also designed for administrators and CTE instructors at the Charleston Coliseum.
Charleston INVEST Schedule:
- Monday, June 24 – Wednesday, June 26: Math INVEST, Capital High School (math teachers will join the educators at Coliseum and Convention Center for lunch and keynote address)
- Monday, June 24 – Thursday, June 27: INVEST Sessions, Charleston Coliseum
A northern INVEST Conference will be held in Morgantown, July 24-26, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel at Waterfront Place. Math educators will attend sessions at Morgantown High School.
