Emily is an agriculture instructor at Greenbrier East High School in Greenbrier County. In her experience as a teacher, she has grown to love all things about CTE programs, especially seeing students working with their hands while understanding career and technical concepts.
“CTE programs give students the opportunities to gain real-life experiences. CTE curriculum focuses on career exploration, training, employability and other specific skills necessary for a specific occupation,” said Dunkle. “Especially in my CTE program, students gain real-world veterinary technician skills to go into a veterinary or animal science field.”
