I began teaching in 1994 as a Pre-K teacher at McNinch Primary School.

I was blessed to have many influential teachers in my life who made me want to become a teacher. I feel that having dedicated teachers and support staff all with the same goal of providing quality education to students is what makes West Virginia’s education system successful.

I love seeing the excitement of learning unfold and sending my students home each day with a story in their hearts.

I love that I am fortunate to have former students who are now teachers and work alongside me in Marshall County.

My husband is also a teacher and we met through our jobs. We have two daughters. Zara is a freshman at West Virginia University and is on the cross country and track teams. Zoe is in the seventh grade and is very involved at her school. We have a cat, Zia. Our family enjoys running, biking and trips to Disney.
