Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS) Training

Literacy is fundamental to student growth for all children in WV.    While there are various programs being used throughout the state, WVDE’s intent is to offer a teacher-led assessment with screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring that measures the fundamental components of literacy, rather than a computer-adaptive screener.  To achieve this goal, WVDE will continue to offer PALS Premier for Pre-K through 3rd grade to all counties free-of-charge.
