About Us

The goal of the Office of Federal Programs is to promote student achievement by ensuring access, opportunity and support that meets the diverse needs of all students.  The Office operationalizes this goal by assuring that federal education funding for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA – Title programs) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is administered properly.  Specific responsibilities include administering county school system funding allocations, providing technical assistance to county school systems in meeting program requirements, monitoring for compliance and facilitating remedies for dispute resolution.
